Gatorade, Recharged

Under the creative direction of Dane Macbeth, I worked with Roger LA on the launch of Gatorade's Zeus rebrand, helping bring the newly redesigned bolt to life through motion and animation. As Gatorade expanded its product portfolio around different athletes, sports, and performance needs, the team explored a broad range of visual expressions built around the new mark. My contributions spanned 2D and 3D design and animation, helping develop a motion language that feels energetic, precise, and adaptable across the expanded brand ecosystem.

Each Product, Its Own Voice

The rebrand launched alongside four distinct product lines, Zero, Gatorlyte, Longer Lasting, and Lower Sugar, each built around a different facet of athletic performance. Rather than applying a single animation system, each logo got a treatment specific to its purpose. Cohesive at the brand level, distinct where it counts.

A Mark in Motion

Built around the momentum of the new bolt, the tagline animation uses the mark itself to drive the reveal. The energy arrives first, followed by the message.

Wherever athletes play

Each scene explores a different expression of the Zeus mark, using the materials, textures, and visual language of sport as inspiration. AI-generated styleframes helped guide early exploration before being translated and rebuilt in Cinema 4D and After Effects, resulting in a motion system that feels varied, energetic, and cohesive.
